In order to encourage youth to actively participate in community development, the Youth Development Administration (YDA) of the Ministry of Education’s “Youth Community Participation and Action 2.0—Changemaker Project” uses action funds, mentoring and other resources to support youth in participating in local affairs. The call for submissions for 2025 project is from now until 12:00 p.m. on March 18. Please refer to the project website (https://changemaker.yda.gov.tw) and submit your proposals. In addition, there will be online briefing sessions at 2:00 p.m. on February 22 (Saturday) and 7:00 p.m. on February 25 (Tuesday), inviting senior peers and evaluation committees to share key points, welcome to register and participate.
Zēng Yǔ-Huán(曾禹寰), a member of the Actor team “集河工作室”, who won the “Sinyi Realty-We are ONE” award of 2024 Project, started from the role of Dreamer, and under the incubation of Youthhub, gradually accumulates local knowledge and local action experience. He formed “集河工作室” in 2023, then proposed and elected to become an Actor team to promote the elderly companionship project in Fuhua Village, Shilin District, Taipei, and hold workshops to explore the life stories of the elders, encourage experience exchanges between different generations, and successfully record the daily life of intergenerational interaction.
Yáng Hào-Jié (楊皓傑), leader of the Actor team “漂丿少年家”, also won the “Sinyi Realty-We are ONE” award of 2024 Project, started from the internship at the Youthhub, launched the road of accompanying local youth. As a substitute teacher at Kinmen Vocational High School, he is committed to overturning the local residents' stereotypes about vocational education. His team leads students to use their skills to go into the community and teach the public about car and motorcycle maintenance knowledge, so that the public can see the professional strength of vocational students. It also allows students to find their self-worth through close interaction with the community.
The YDA accompanies youth in taking action. Changemaker Project welcomes youth aged 18 to 35 to form teams of 2 to 5 people to propose action projects for their hometowns, the land where they grew up, and the communities they care about. The YDA continues to cultivate youth through Dreamer, Actor, and Changemaker, and finally becomes a "Youthhub" that inherits regional revitalization knowledge and experience, and actively cultivates local youth talents.
