The Youth Development Administration subsidized I-Shou University for launching “Career Development for Innovation and Entrepreneurship – Multimedia Design for Augmented Reality”. This program aimed to assist students in gaining experiences in the innovative virtual reality industry of the future. It further helped to develop more talent in the fields of innovative design and entrepreneurship. By participating in this program, students were able to increase their cross-disciplinary innovation capabilities and prepare themselves for overcoming challenges at workplace and realizing their dreams.
A series of virtual reality (VR) programs were designed for students to understand their personalities and the personalities required by the virtual reality industry. By integrating the resources of the technology industry and the Youth Salon, the program, in line with the 5+2 industries plan of the government, participated in an alliance for virtual reality developers of the Kaohsiung Software Industrial Park to enable students to strengthen their skills, capabilities for innovative design, and employee core competencies. Students participating in the program even won an award in the 2018 Kaohsiung Youth Innovative Design Festival and a Special Design Award of the Young Designer’s Exhibition for their VR design works.
