This summer, a group of passionate young people are expanding their horizons and fulfilling their dreams. The Youth Development Administration of the Ministry of Education has been promoting the "Youth Travel in Taiwan – Exploring Love on The Map Program" for eleven years. There are more than 100 young participants pairing in groups to join every year. All the groups combine the spirit of public benefit with actual acts; bring the care and development from the cities to the rural towns and visit the land that nurtured us endlessly in person.
Taiwan is in a subtropical climate range with a wide variation in terrain. It is very suitable for planting fruits and is known as a fruit island. However, due to the recent weather factor, the climate change has caused the situation of substantial production which is causing an extensive waste on rotten fruit leftovers. A group of college students from Tainan KunShan University of Science and Technology went to YuFeng Township in Tainan, hoping to try to work with the farmers directly to establish a local fruit production and a marketing brand “Natural Produce”. They tried to promote their economic values via market fair, incentive leisure farm and online promotion. At the same time, the team made good use of social media to keep the footprints and records of the stories and processes of each and every farmer and their harvests. The young students promoted the true color of the farmers by conducting storytelling marketing and successfully guided more people to see then value our local agricultural industry.
This year, the team "Children in The Wild" continued to pass on the previous award-winning seniors’ efforts on holding leisure trips and activities on the fruit farm, such as networking events and field trips for kindergarten. They picked and promoted various products dynamically due to the latest condition of the farm. According to the yield and market price this year, the students had chosen dragon fruit to work on its merchandise, and hope to create a higher value by commercializing every part of the dragon fruit including its pulp, peel and flower. In Chinese, dragon fruit is also named as “flaming dragon fruit”, which gave the students an idea to play with its pun by spreading the spirit of dragon fruit- to be flaming trendy popular! With a core marketing spirit and unlimited passion, the "flaming noodle" has become the representative product of the year created crowd attention.

We thought we were helping the local farmers. At the end of the day, we have learned more experiences and wisdom. This is something we never thought of before. Thanks to all the people who helped us during the process." Moreover, the team had found out that the people here have a club for Peking Opera. And revitalizing the art of Peking Opera is o
